TAPE TRASH
OLD HIGHS

TAPE TRASH is the new project of Anders Magnor Killerud (Ludvig Moon, Kyss På Halsen, Team Me) and Kristofer Mathias Staxrud (Spielbergs, Hilma Nikolaisen, Ludvig Moon). In TAPE TRASH, they draw inspiration from the music they listened to when they first picked up their instruments as enthusiastic teenagers: Indie rock induced with infectious choruses, catchy guitar riffs and huge drums. After an involuntary break due to the corona epidemic, they have spent the past year working on their debut album.

TAPE TRASH releases single OLD HIGHS on November 18. A noisy, energetic and melodious song with clear references to the music they grew up with. The band says that the song is a result of listeing to the soundtrack to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater on repeat as a child. Fierce guitars and hyperactive drums meet sweet pop melodies. A more-is-more mentality that walks a fine balance between ecstasy and panic. OLD HIGHS is written from the perspective of a fictional character who feels abandoned and tired, but still clings to his faded youth and shattered dreams.
