Babies on Airplanes is a Norwegian/Swedish piano trio whose music blends spontaneity, playfulness, and melodic clarity into soundscapes shaped by unexpected turns and shifts. All three members are highly active on the Scandinavian jazz scene and are known from projects such as Amalie Dahl’s Dafnie Extended, Best Thing Since Sliced Bread, KRISE, Dubbeltrion, Populærmusikk for likesinnede, and Science Fair, among others. Their debut album brings together elements of jazz, synth pop, and free improvisation, forming a dynamic and varied collection of compositions and collective interplay. The music reflects both the distinct voices of the individual musicians and the trio’s shared approach to form and interaction.
