Kitfai
Ways of Letting Go

KitFai is an Oslo based rock band, about to release their second album, Ways of Letting Go

KitFai brought their guitars and drums, the whole shebang, but lands safely on the melodic side of the genre. The big soundscapes, the redemptive choruses and melancholic undertones are clearly inspired by modern pop.

Since spring of 2021, KitFai has released four singles and as many music videos from their upcoming album. The songs have been played on several domestic radio stations. NRK P13, P1 and P2 to mention some. The videos has been featured on musikknyheter.no and ballade.no. Ways of Letting Go will be released Friday the 25th of March 2022.

The Album is produced by Roar Nilsen in Nabolaget Studio in Oslo. The music was composed and recorded while the world was in a state of emergency through 2020 and 2021, and the music reflects some of the insecurity and frustration one could experience during the pandemic. Martin Halla has contributed with guest vocals on the track Still. Ways of Letting Go is based on the foundation set by KitFai’s earlier releases, but the band appears more refined, organic and direct than before.

KitFai was conceived in 2013, and it’s members was inspired by the music they had grown up with in the early 2000s. They released their first album, The Things You Left Us, in 2018. Some of the tracks on this album was also played on several domestic radio stations , and was featured in the New Music Friday -playlist on Spotify. KitFai has previously released an EP and two lone singles, one of which was featured on the TV-series Unge Lovende.

Members of KitFai has also played in bands like Leprous, Shevils, Over the Trees, Psyence Fiction and Gribbene.
