Ni år har gått siden The Uptights debut, At the Wörthersee Hotel, kom ut. Den triste og underlige kassetten var vel så inspirert av bøker og gammel radio/TV, som av uavhengig gitarmusikk.
Nå er Oslos ukjente lofi-helter tilbake. It is for them that the lights twinkle kretser rundt tema som ensomhet og byen, fra neddempede gløtt inn vinduer på Vault II til høyspent elektrisitet på Arthaus Rock. Tittelen er hentet fra Lewis Mumford’s The Culture of Cities (1938).
The Uptights har tilknytning til andre Keepsecretrecords-band, som The Slow Painters. Albumet er spilt inn på kassett og mikset i mono. Det er mastret av Christian Obermayer.
